My research and teaching center on modernism. I focus mostly on poetry and mostly on American literature, but I teach and write about fiction and essays as well, and sometimes work transnationally on modern literature from around the world.

I have additional expertise in the intersection of philosophy and literature and in transhistorical poetry and poetics.
